The Glitz Glam & Lux event was a success for two reasons – the cause of 40 Girls and Some Shoes and the talent behind it – Mel Boteri and Donnie Wellz. I was trully inspired by their entrepreneurship and talent, as well as by their friendliness and unpretentiousness. I had the pleasure to talk to them for a few minutes and to learn a little bit about their labels. Launched in 2009, Mel Boteri is a business built on custom fashion. It gives the opportunity to each of us to be a designer for a day and have something made only for us. Mel Boteri provides the basic silhouette, but the client is the one that selects style, components, accessories and color. Here are some of the images from the event:
I was truly impressed when I saw a design by Dennis Williams for the first time – worn by one of his clients. I would describe his designs as modern, classy and perfectly tailored. The story of Donnie Wellz is truly inspirational as well as his creations.

This past weekend I had the pleasure to join a wonderful group of people at the COPOSHI Boutique, in Buckhead. The stylish and hip two-story boutique was packed with people eager to support the great cause of 40 Girls and Some Shoes as well as young enterpreneurs showcasing their talent. “40 Girls and Some Shoes” is a non-profit organization, which collects and distributes new or gently worned shoes to homeless and impoverished Atlanta residents. Since its inception three years ago, the founder Sylvia Webb and the organization have provided 4000 pairs of free shoes to these underserved groups. If you like to donate $10 and receive a free printed edition of Urbam Lux Magazine, please visit http://liveurbanlux.com/glitz-glam-lux. Please checkout some of the photos from this great event.
I love visiting Arizona – I love to see my American family (parents in law), the most beautiful sunsets, and the best temperatures around at this time of the year. You can see from far that I am not your “average” cowgirl with bright red cowboy hat and boots. My friend Melissa coined the term “Bulgarian cowgirl”. The photos are from near Tortilla Flat, AZ known for beautiful “mountain” landscapes and for a bar with dollar bills covered walls and saddles for bar seats.
In these pictures, red straw hat from the “Lost Dutchman” Park in Arizona, Guess Marciano jeans, DIZI red leather boots from Bulgaria, and Costa Blanca Ruched-Sleeve Military Jacket purchased from Fab’rik.
