It is pink, sweet, and juicy … watermelon

Good Monday Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. This post was inspired by InStyle’s Color Crash Course on watermelon color as well as my summer love for watermelon. I have been eying this Armani Exchange skirt for a long time but was not sure what I could pair it with. The Color Crash Course suggested white, khaki, tangerine, and cobalt which made it so easy as I already had the white jacket and the saturated blue top. Thank you InStyle!

Style Trilogy: Purple – my new favorite color

Hello everyone,

I know it is the weekend and no one has a business casual attire on their mind, but I wanted to conclude my “business casual” trilogy from this week. This is possibly my favorite look because I love the colors and the pattern of the skirt. Again, I have included a conservative and a flirty version (rolled up sleeves, tied shirt front, etc.). I am growing to love J.Crew’s pencil skirts as they do wonders to your tummy and hips. I was surprised to see that their website featured skirts going as high as $795 as I have always shopped at the store.

I hope you had a great rest of the weekend and please share which look you like the most(if any).

xoxo, Teodora

A Week in a casual business attire

Hello everyone,

How is your week so far? I hope your are in the process of planning a summer vacation or having one. But not for me. I am in the middle of a out of town business trip ( pic taken during the weekend) and here is my second business casual outfit. The first three pictures show a more relaxed version of it with rolled up sleeves, colored tank underneath and sandals. The more conservative version is buttoned up and with closed toe shoes. What do you prefer?

“Women in Black” – Business Casual Attire

Hello,

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spend some time preparing for a work trip coming up this week so my next three posts are devoted to business casual attire, or how we can look professional while still having fun. I recently gave a presentation at my Toastmaster’s club on best attire for an interview but it is harder to nail down business casual for the workplace. So many companies, so many countries. Over the next three posts I will share business casual attire as I would like it to be (yep, I know, the skirts need a couple of more inches in length 🙂

Shirt – Ann Taylor
Skirt – Oscar de la Renta (thrifted from Alexis Suitcase)
Shoes – ALDO
Necklace – Dillards (similar)
Briefcase – present from my brother, from Bulgaria

You have to risk going too far to discover just how far you can really go

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful week. Mine was not action packed but was full with dreams and inspiration. Why am I talking about risk in the title of this post? Because I felt I was taking one when I left the house yesterday in the outfit below. Checkered and stripes? In different colors? These are the questions I read in some of my co-workers’ eyes and some even “dared” to voice them. To which I replied, that “fashion greatness was not born in safety”. Needless to say, they were even more puzzled.
