Off-the-shoulder trend has been slowly creeping into the wardrobes of celebrities and bloggers over the last two years and it has finally reached my own. Inspired by one of the most famous style icons, Brigitte Bardot, the off-the-shoulder dress is a great way to show some skin in a feminine and elegant way. I find the Bardot style of dresses to be a great alternative to bare midriff or cleavage silhouettes. This particular dress is in my favorite for the summer turquoise color. With its off-the-shoulder design and flared skirt, I find it to be one of the most flattering pieces I own. Although the cotton fabric is destined to wrinkle easily (I ironed it, I promise), it is perfect for the hot summer days.
I would love to channel the trend in the fall by pairing off-the-shoulder sweater, my fave jeans and matching knee-high boots. What do you think of the off-the-shoulder trend? Is it something you would wear?
