I have been delaying writing this Pinterest-worthy post for a while because it involved no new pieces and more work (lol). I love this blazer so much and I already have a bunch of other ideas on how to style it, so I finally decided to put my thoughts and time into it. These outfits are more tailored for the colder weather because of the thicker blazer but the color schemes and patterns can be taken into spring and summer. As I come up with more ideas, I plan to add them to this post and if you have a suggestion, please feel free to share it.
1. Pairing a bright color like fuchsia with black/white stripes or polka dots. This combination is a staple in my wardrobe throughout the whole year. The effect is always striking, fresh and current. The rest of the outfit I keep as simple and neutral as possible. I prefer to pair blazers with pencil skirt/pants or fit-and-flare skirts. Pairing them with A-line skirts look too boxy or shapeless on me.
2. Pairing with monochromatic colors (shades of one color). I cannot count the times I have paired together my matching jeans and denim shirt with jackets, blazers and cardigans of all colors and patterns (post idea!!!). The top and bottoms don’t have to match perfectly, it just happened this way. For both of these outfits adding a patterned accessory completed the look.
3. Pearing fuchsia with teal. Although this outfit only had a touch of teal, I think these two colors are a powerful combination and I plan to do more of it. Of course, the idea for it came from this fun scarf. Adding the neutral accessories in cognac completed the look perfectly.
I must have been going through some high-heel phase with theseoutfits but this blazer looks great with flats as well, specifically in leopard print or black lace ups. It seems like the opportunities for styling are endless – how would you style it?
