It is pink, sweet, and juicy … watermelon

Teodoras Lookbook watermelon maxi skirt 5

Good Monday Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. This post was inspired by InStyle’s Color Crash Course on watermelon color as well as my summer love for watermelon. I have been eying this Armani Exchange skirt for a long time but was not sure what I could pair it with. The Color Crash Course suggested white, khaki, tangerine, and cobalt which made it so easy as I already had the white jacket and the saturated blue top. Thank you InStyle!

To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far. I have been struggling with a couple of issues with my blog and finally had one fixed. When I did the change from Blogger to WordPress, the RSS feed and Bloglovin were not updating. All it took was to contact the Bloglovin support to get that fixed. In addition with WordPress I have been getting a tons of comments spam. I have been able to decrease some of it but if you have any suggestions on how you deal with WordPress spam, please feel free to share. It will be greatly appreciated by myself and my hubby who has been burning the midnight oil on this. I thought WordPress was much better ???No? I hope this is one change that results in improvement, if not perfection :)

And on a more positive note, here is one of my work outfits (yes, we are that relaxed) from last week. Till next time, style it up!

Playing the blues (again)

Hello my dear ladies and one gent,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I spent it with my hubby, of course, and we spent some time picking out my first GIVEAWAY which will be celebrating the 100th post. It is going to be a fashionista feast so keep your laptops open:)

I spent a good time figuring out how to style this blue sheath dress because 1) I had no idea what goes with this color and 2) there were no great ideas online either. I tried to figure out what exact shade of blue it is and I believe it is called Cobalt blue. If you have a more fashionable name, please share. I don’t think it is a trend color for 2012 but I don’t really follow color trends. If the color makes me happy, I wear it. The only reason I follow color trends is to discover new colors as it seems they come up with new lovely colors every season.

So in terms of styling, I decided to use another bright color to balance out the overflow of blue. In addition, I thought the dress is too office-like, so I decided to add this hip jacket to make it more casual.
I am curious to know how you would pair this beautiful cobalt blue dress. Till next time, style it up.

xoxo,

Teodora

Crabby

Hello there,

I am not sure if you believe in horoscopes or not. I have never read a horoscope that predicts anything bad but I have read quite a few that don’t predict anything good either. So this time of the year and around my birthday I skim through Cancer horoscopes in search of something positive and inspirational. Luckily for Crabs, it seems like it is going to be a good year (yaaay) but I truly enjoyed one specific prediction. And the reason is that it coincides with something that has been on my mind for a while and something I have really tried to work on. I am sure they say it for all the signs :) but they say it very well:

“You are called upon to rid yourself of guilt about under-performing, and to develop faith and trust in a larger more spiritual plan. It’s time to let go of some of your fears that you are not doing enough, to develop more compassion and understanding of others, and to be humble, feeling safe in the knowledge that you (and others) are not perfect. It’s time to let go of some of your obsessions with rules, details, and fears of not doing things perfectly.”

I am really hard on myself when things don’t work out perfectly and it just leads to more problems and lower self-confidence. I hope this year I can let my soul fly free and enjoy life to the fullest!

Weekend Style

The new piece in this outfit is the silk top.  I have to say the material feels great on the skin. It makes me feel both chic and feminine. I decided to wear my hair up for two reasons:
1) The color of the shirt sort of blends with my hair
2) This shirt has the most gorgeous sleeves and shoulder straps detail.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I know I will …

Journey

“Success is a journey, not a destination – half the fun is getting there.” – Gita Bellin

I often wonder about the destination of my blog. Why am I doing it, where I am going with it? All I know right now is that I enjoy doing it and that is all I need to get motivation. Have you ever done something that had no direction but ended up becoming one of the most purposeful things in your life?
