Magenta Jeans – Style # 1

Hello Everyone,
This past weekend I paid a visit to Target hoping I would snatch a piece or two from Jason Wu’s collection. I had some luck but that is coming in another post. As expected, I left the store with two more items I did not plan to buy – a pair of magenta jeans and a mustard skinny belt. The jeans are made of thin denim fabric with whiskers at the front. Although I prefer heavier denim because it provides a better coverage for those leg dimples, I like this pair as well. The brand is Mossimo – another Target – designer collaboration but on more permanent basis. For now, I think I am getting good value for my money.

Today I am also starting my work out routine with my hubby. I am so excited as I finally convinced him to JOIN the gym and he had to convince me to GO to the gym and use the membership I already have. When I go to the gym, I want to know how much for how long I need to do each exercise.I don’t want to have to think about it because I end up watching TV or other people and I look surprised when after 30 days of work out I see no results. I am doing the third routine on this link:

I will keep you posted on my progress. Maybe I will even show before and after pictures if successful :)

I hope you had the chance to enter my GIVEAWAY. If not, you can find more information at the end of the post. Good Luck and till then, style it up!

Closet Makeover

Have you ever reached the point where you had to go over a mountain of clothes to get to a certain shirt you wanted to wear? Or have you ever taken 20 minutes to find a piece of clothing in your closet?
Well, I have experienced both a few times so I decided to give my closet a makeover. Here are the steps I took to make my life so much easier:
1) Set your time – I decided to devote at least 3 hours of my day to do this reorganization. If anyone thinks it will take less than that, you will be in for a big surprise.

2) Think ahead about all the supplies you may need in this endeavor – hangers for clothes and belts, shoe racks, boxes, etc.

3) Next, I relocated all my out of season clothes to another closet.
4) I organized similar items and colors together. For example, all shirts are arranged in one section by colors light to dark. I also separated formal from casual clothing. You may want to separate business from casual attire as well but my business and casual attire is currently the same.

5) I organized my shoes by color and I boxed out of season shoes.

6) I hung all my belts so I can see them.

7) I boxed my less used purses.

Popular recommendation is to donate or sell all clothes that you have not worn in six months. As a fashion blogger, I look at my clothes with a renewed potential so I don’t follow this rule.
Thank you for taking a tour of my closet. If you have any closet makeover tips that work for you, please do share.

Teodora

Hot or Cold, Rain or Snow

I have been in the States for more than ten years now but there are some things I seem to keep doing the European way. For example, I love eating out – I mean, sitting outside regardless of the scorching heat,  the torrential rain or the freezing cold. And my sweet hubby is willing to endure all of it to make me happy:) When we sat at the table on the pictures below, we were looking forward to a beautiful though muggy evening when out of the blue it started raining in buckets. For about 20 minutes we were able to shield ourselves by lowering the table umbrellas until I decided my loyalty to sitting outside has reached its limit. My back was soaking wet and my new shoes were in danger….

Like a Kid in a Candy Store

A week ago I had the ultimate pleasure to go to a summer sale of all major Atlanta boutiques under one roof (Boutique Bargains Atlanta Clearance Sale). I was grinning like a kid in a candy store for the whole 3 hours.  What made it even better is that I had two very good friends mine with passion for fashion matching mine.
What do you think? Did I make a good choice? Any ideas for styling? Does any of this pieces fire up your fashion sense?

My Better Fashionable Half

Hello there! I wish I could take all the credit for styling this outfit but unfortunately that will be a lie. Chris (my sweetie pie) thinks he is a fashion expert just because he is married to someone interested in fashion. I have to admit, though, that he is responsible for bringing this outfit to life. You can’t imagine how impressed I was when he said that it needs a “pop of color”. So I obliged and started digging in my closet for something colorful that will match the pearl gray and white of the silk top/skirt. Although pics don’t show it well enough, the purple tank top helps a lot. I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.

The Longest Day of the Year

Officially today, June 21st, is Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year. I decided to celebrate it with a super summery, bright, happy, innocent, joyful outfit. Even being the longest day, I did not have enough time to do everything I wanted to do. What about you? How did you spend the longest day in the year?

My Personal Model

A lot of us, bloggers, have different advantages that help us with blogging. Some of us live in Paris, some of us have professional photographers or IT gurus as friends, and others have unlimited budget for their fashion shopping cravings. My advantage is my very good friend Nadia. She is always there when I need an advice or a beautiful model with an impeccable fashion sense and enviable wardrobe.
